Littleton Farm has been farmed by the Tupper family as its custodians for over 100 years.  The current Tupper family ran a dairy operation on the farm until 2021 as well as an arable operation.  The dairy was closed and the farm now concentrates on  arable producing wheat, barley and oil seed rape. and conservation work as well as the campsite.  The farm is still the home to cows with a herd of indigenous Sussex Cattle which can be seen in the summer months on the hills heading towards the South-east on the South Downs Way.   The campsite opened following the closure of the dairy.

The farm  covers approximately 4 miles of the South Downs Way starting from the Graffham Nature Reserve to the north-west of the farm and reaching to Slindon Estate to the south-east.  Some spectacular views can be seen from the South Downs Way where it passes through the farm; with far reaching views towards the Channel and, on a clear day, the wind turbines off Worthing from Bignor Hill (heading South-East on the SDW). Following the South Downs Way to the North up the steep hill behind the cafe you will be rewarded with fantastic views of West Sussex, Hampshire and the Surrey Hills.

Supporting nature and taking steps to encourage wildlife is a big part of life on the farm.  Littleton Farm is in the higher level Countryside Stewardship scheme, which provides farmers with funds specifically to help them manage their land in a way that protects the environment and provides habitat for wildlife.

If you visit the farm in August you may see the Combine Harvester at work on the fields around the campsite, which is particularly impressive view on the South Downs hills and valleys.
